AMD Ryzen™ 9 8945HS -- NucBox K11 - max frame buffer

  • AMD Ryzen™ 9 8945HS -- NucBox K11

What is the max frame buffer in the bios, because these have been successfully upgraded to 128GB ram, max gpu allocation?

    Tony.

  • What I am going to write now is not certain. I used what I found on the Internet. I don't have this model, just a different one. And I can set up very great.

The GMKtec NucBox K11 is equipped with an AMD Radeon 780M graphics chip, which uses the system's RAM (the so-called UMA Frame Buffer Size) as VRAM.

According to the information found in the specifications and reviews:

     * By default, the NucBox K11 has a default frame buffer size set to 3GB VRAM.

     * In the BIOS (UEFI), it is possible to manually increase this value. For systems with 32GB RAM, it is recommended to set up 8GB VRAM.

For gaming 6-8GB is max good setting for this chip.

Some sources state that you can set up to 16GB of VRAM, but this depends on the total amount of RAM installed. If the NucBox K11 has a maximum of 64GB of RAM, it can theoretically provide up to 48GB as VRAM (although in practice this is rarely the optimal solution for the performance of the entire system).

In summary, the maximum possible frame buffer in the NucBox K11 depends on the RAM installed. Realistically, for optimal performance in games and GPU-demanding applicationsSome sources state that you can set up to 16GB of VRAM, but this depends on the total amount of RAM installed. If the NucBox K11 has a maximum of 64GB of RAM, it can theoretically provide up to 48GB as VRAM (although in practice this is rarely the optimal solution for the performance of the entire system).
