I am using my new GMKtec Nuc_Box Evo-X2 since almost a week now. A very powerful and impressive machine regarding overall performance in such a small box. But there was one surprise about both analogue 3.5mm input jacks. Headset speakers are fine, no complaints but i can not get a reasonable volume level from my favorite microphone (V-Moda BoomPro). When i perform troubleshooting in Windows sound settings i get a 3% level when the input gain level is set to 100%. I am wondering the AMD High Definition Audio Device driver does not offer a setting i am used to see with other sound controllers. A switch controlling the input gain in steps of 0, 10, 20, 30 dB. Is there a chance to increase the gain hardware-wise? As for the moment i use APO Equalizer in order to increase the input gain by 30dB software-wise. This works but the downside is noise and other non-wanted parts of the signal also get amplified by 30dB. So i hope there is still an option to use a hardware gain. Looking forward if anyone from GMKtec support could drop a comment here. Thank you very much.
