Multiple issues, all with FedEx.
- Received communication on Friday 19 September to confirm shipment value. No reason why.
- Acknowledgement of receipt of details received, no further communication from FedEx - as I made my purchase through the supposed "taxfree" EU store, I didn't expect to pay tax. Leading to my next point:
- Surprise Surprise, when the driver appears at my gate with my package on 25 September, I am told to pay a total of €485,58. They cannot accept credit card, only cash or cheque, unless I make a bank transfer. Leading to my next point.
- The driver cannot provide me with the FedEx banking details, but I am told that, should I promptly make the payment, I can still receive my shipment on the same day.
- Needed to contact FedEx customer support twice to open multiple tickets to receive payment details.
- Payment made - after which I am told the package has already been received back at the depot, but will be delivered on Friday 26 September.
- Friday 26 September - I have received no communication by 14:00, so I call FedEx. I am informed there was an "internal communication problem" and my parcel was not shipped, but it would be shipped on Monday 29 September (today).
- Monday 29 September - no communication received by 11am, so I contacted FedEx customer support once more. This time I received an email assuring me that I will receive the parcel before 18:00 today, and I would shortly be receiving a message from the courier. 14:00ish, I phone FedEx customer support once more, only to be informed that all my escalation tickets have been marked as closed and resolved, and that my order is, in fact, not being dispatched today.
Is there any recourse from GMKTec to follow up from this absolute dogshow?
