How does one use images downloaded from GMKTec?

  • So, after several days of "too many users" I was finaaly able to download a Windows image from GMKTec. Unfortunately it's not a complete image as far as I can tell. First I expected it to be an ISO file but it's not. Also, it does not appear to have all the files necessary to make a bootable drive. So, my question is does anyone know where I can find some instructions on how to reinstall Windows with this download.

  • There's a link to a YouTube video on their Tutorial/How To support page. Unfortunately this won't render properly on iPhone browser and so you may have to use a laptop to view. Can't remember off-hand what it is called, but if you scroll down a looooooong way down the page, you should find it.

Basically you just need to extract the Zip or ISO and copy the files on to a formatted USB stick, likely 16 or 32GB size will be needed.

  • @Tabbycat Well, there is a BIOS / recovery tutorial but it stops after the BIOS update. And unfortuantely, the 2 Windows "Images" available to download are not complete, meaning they are not bootable. Either that or I am missing something? Hence the reason I am looking for instructions or a complete bootable ISO file.

  • just download https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
    "Create Windows 11 Installation Media"

put pendrive to usb and this app will do bootable usb with windows 11 clean iso

than boot PC from that USB install system(delete all partitions from system drive) install all drivers after windows start and its the best way to make clean and fresh system.
